Chris Rodesch has captured his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour by winning the Tallahassee Tennis Challenger Presented by Visit Tallahassee. The 23-year-old from Luxembourg rallied from a set down to outlast sixth-seeded US-American Emilio Nava 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
Rodesch capitalized on four of his 15 break-point chances and won 52 per cent of the total points played to secure victory in two hours and 13 minutes.

“This has been an amazing week… my first Challenger title. A great place to do it,” Rodesch said. “Confidence is important. To get it done against Emilio is great, he’s won like 19 matches in a row.”
The Luxembourg City native has become just the second player from his country to claim an ATP Challenger title, joining Gilles Muller. Rodesch collected $14,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
The 25th edition of the Tallahasse Tennis Challenger offered a total prize pool of $100,000 and was held at the Forestmeadows Tennis Center. Tallahassee, the capital of Florida, blends Southern charm with vibrant culture and rich history.
