POZNAN/STARNBERG, April 16, 2026
Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 edition of the Enea Poznan Open, with the ATP Challenger tournament set to return to the Park Tenisowy Olimpia in June. Excitement will begin even earlier this year, as organizers once again host a pre-qualifying tournament, offering Polish players the chance to earn a coveted wild card into the qualifying draw.
The initiative, introduced for the first time last year, proved an immediate success. “It was a completely new idea in Polish tennis, and the level of interest was enormous,” said tournament director Krzysztof Jordan. “It’s a unique opportunity for Polish players, and that was exactly our goal — to give them a chance to earn a wild card on the court. The strong participation convinced us to bring the pre-qualifying event back.”
Jasza Szajrych, last year’s pre-qualifying winner, also praised the concept. “It’s a great idea and a real opportunity for us to play in a prestigious tournament, especially for young players,” he said. “Wild cards are usually awarded from above, but here we can fight for them on court. We’ve seen similar formats in Great Britain. It’s a fantastic initiative, particularly as we don’t have many Challenger events in Poland.”
Szajrych has already expressed his intention to compete again this year, provided he returns to full fitness. The Polish player has been dealing with injuries in recent months but hopes to be ready in time. “My main goal now is to get healthy. I hope to be back at full strength by June. There’s still time, and I’d love to play the pre-qualifying tournament again,” he said.
The pre-qualifying event will take place on June 7–8, featuring eight Polish players. Quarterfinals and semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, with the final — and the wild card at stake — set for Monday. Entries are open via an online form until May 29.
The 31st edition of the Enea Poznan Open will be held from June 14–20, with a prize pool exceeding €160,000 plus hospitality. As in previous years, admission will be free during the first days of the tournament (through June 17), while tickets will be required for the later stages. Daily tickets and full tournament passes are available. Children under six and people with disabilities can enter free of charge, while discounts of 50 per cent apply for youth aged 7 to 15 and seniors.
A new initiative this year allows fans to support young players from the Olimpia Tennis Park team by purchasing symbolic contributions (“bricks”) valued at 10, 30, or 50 PLN when claiming free tickets. These also grant access to evening outdoor cinema screenings.
Beyond the on-court action, organizers promise a wide range of additional activities, including an open-air cinema, a mental wellness zone, and various events combining tennis with culture, business, and sustainability — making the tournament a vibrant experience both on and off the court.
