The main draw of the Copa Internacional de Tenis in Piracicaba promises plenty of excitement for Brazilian tennis fans. The ATP Challenger 50 tournament, scheduled to take place from June 21 to 28 at Clube Cristovao Colombo, will feature five Brazilian players already guaranteed spots in the battle for the title and the 50 ATP Ranking points awarded to the champion.

Among the confirmed home players are Thiago Seyboth Wild, Eduardo Ribeiro, Matheus Pucinelli, Mateus Alves and Paulo Andre Saraiva dos Santos.

In addition to established competitors and experienced professionals on the international circuit, the tournament also provides an opportunity for rising talents eager to climb the ATP Rankings.

Paulo Andre Saraiva dos Santos enters the main draw following several withdrawals and arrives in Piracicaba enjoying the best season of his career. The Brazilian reached the semi-finals of the Sao Leopoldo Challenger in April and has since focused increasingly on the Challenger Tour, gaining valuable experience through a series of events in Europe.

Another player looking to make his mark is Matheus Pucinelli. Currently ranked world No. 409, the Brazilian is aiming to move back toward his career-high ranking of No. 190 after an injury-affected start to the season limited his tournament schedule. Competing at home and in front of Brazilian fans, he will be looking to rediscover the form that once established him among the country’s top players.

The main draw also features several notable international competitors, including Argentines Guido Ivan Justo, Juan Bautista Torres and Juan Manuel La Serna, as well as Chile’s Matias Soto.

The tournament has recently proven to be a launching pad for rising stars. Argentine Roman Andres Burruchaga, champion of the 2025 edition, began a breakthrough run in Piracicaba that ultimately propelled him into the world’s Top 100 and led to the biggest achievements of his professional career.

Thiago Seyboth Wild remains the tournament’s marquee Brazilian name. The former World No. 58, US Open junior champion and owner of a memorable victory over then-World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev at Roland Garros in 2023 arrives in Piracicaba as one of the leading contenders for the title.

Competition begins on Sunday with the qualifying draw, while main-draw action gets underway on Monday, bringing together players from across the globe for one of the key events on the Brazilian Challenger calendar.
