World No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime has confirmed his return to the ABN AMRO Open in 2027. The 25-year-old Canadian, who lifted the trophy in Rotterdam in 2022 and finished runner-up earlier this year, will make his ninth appearance at the ATP 500 event. Following defending champion Alex de Minaur, he becomes the second player to officially commit to next year’s tournament.

Auger-Aliassime has enjoyed a special relationship with the tournament ever since making his ATP Tour main-draw debut in Rotterdam in 2018.

“When I think of Rotterdam, I think about the fact that my ATP journey started there,” Auger-Aliassime said. “I also think about becoming the youngest finalist in the tournament’s history, eventually winning my first ATP title and seeing my name alongside those of the sport’s biggest stars. I am ready to experience that again.”

The Canadian reached his first ABN AMRO Open final in 2020, becoming the youngest finalist in the tournament’s history before falling to Gaël Monfils. Two years later, he returned to the final and defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas to capture the first ATP Tour title of his career.

Earlier this year, Auger-Aliassime advanced to his third Rotterdam final but was beaten by Alex de Minaur, who secured the title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory.

Tournament director Richard Krajicek highlighted the Canadian’s long-standing connection with the event.

“We have such a long history with Félix that it is easy to forget he is still only 25 years old,” Krajicek said. “When he made his debut at the age of 17, we knew he was an exceptional talent, but you can never be certain how a player will develop. The fact that he is returning for the ninth time and is now the world No. 4 makes it very special.”

With both Alex de Minaur and Felix Auger-Aliassime already confirmed, the finalists from the previous edition will once again headline the field in Rotterdam.

“We are always pleased to welcome back players who have already shown that they can perform well at our tournament,” Krajicek added. “De Minaur and Auger-Aliassime have both reached the final three times and have each won the title once. It is an excellent start to the 2027 player line-up.”
