The future of professional women’s tennis is set to return to Mallorca this autumn as the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Mallorca Women’s Championships stages its second edition from 10 to 18 October 2026. Building on the success of its inaugural event, the WTA 125 tournament continues its commitment to developing emerging talent while bringing world-class women’s tennis closer to fans and new audiences.

Following a highly successful debut edition in 2025, the tournament is taking another step forward this year, with the majority of activities centred in Magaluf (Calvia), where all matches throughout the competition will be played. The move strengthens the spectator experience while reinforcing the tournament’s connection with a destination that continues to evolve through sport, culture and sustainable tourism.

The Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponça will once again play a complementary role as host of the tournament’s VIP hospitality programme and a range of off-court activities, including player appearances and tennis development sessions, helping to extend the event experience beyond the competition itself.

Pilar Carbonell, Managing Director of e|motion Spain, highlighted the significance of this next phase in the tournament’s development: “We want to give something back to Calvià for the support we have received from the very beginning by bringing the tournament into the heart of Magaluf. It is another opportunity to make women’s tennis more accessible and to contribute to the transformation of the destination through sport and culture.”

The Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual, underlined the positive impact of the event on the municipality, describing the Mallorca Women’s Championships as: “An example of the kind of initiatives we want to promote in Calvià. We are committed to attracting major international sporting and cultural events that add value to our destination outside the peak summer season, while also providing experiences that can be enjoyed by local residents.”

Tournament ambassador Gabriela Sabatini will return for this year’s edition following her first involvement with the event in 2025: “Last year I discovered a truly special tournament, with a wonderful atmosphere and a great connection with the fans. I’m very excited to return to Mallorca in October, which is a fantastic time to enjoy the island and, above all, to support the next generation of women’s tennis as they continue to grow and showcase their talent on the international stage.”

True to its vision, the tournament will once again shine a spotlight on emerging talent, providing an important platform for the players who represent the future of the women’s game.
