Joel Schwaerzler has captured the title of the Mazovia Open. The No. 3 seed of the ATP Challenger 75 hard-court tournament in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland defeated fourth favourite Andrea Guerrieri of Italy 7-6(4), 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.

Schwaerzler struck eight aces and won 80 per cent of his first-service points to secure victory in one hour and 27 minutes.

The 20-year-old Austrian captured his third career title on the Challenger Tour following his triumphs in Skopje, North Macedonia 2024 and the Rwanda Challenger in Kigali earlier this season.

Schwaerzler earned €15,510 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points and rises 37 spots to break into the Top 150 for the first time. He is currently projected at a career-high No. 149 in the Live Rankings, a new milestone for the left-hander.

The fifth edition of the Mazovia Open was hosted by Tenis Kozerki. Located in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, just outside Warsaw, Tenis Kozerki has established itself as one of Poland’s leading tennis venues. The modern complex offers excellent conditions for both professional and recreational players, with numerous outdoor and indoor courts and first-class training facilities.

The venue has also become an important stop on the international tennis calendar, regularly hosting ATP Challenger and ITF World Tennis Tour events.
