HAMBURG, August 16, 2026
Anna Siskova (WTA No. 234) captured the women’s title of the Hamburg Ladies & Gents Cup. The No. 3 seed at the ITF World Tennis Tour W50 event defeated US-American qualifier Rasheeda McAdoo (WTA No. 536) 7-6(6), 1-6, 6-3 after two and a half hours.
“It was our first time playing each other in singles. I knew her from doubles, though, and I knew it was going to be a tough match,” Siskova said afterwards. “She gets a lot of balls back and I had to play very precisely, which also led to some errors at times. In the end, I stayed patient, played a good third set and I’m very happy to have won the match.”
Siskova, who has already reached the Wimbledon doubles quarterfinals, celebrated her ninth singles title on the Pro Circuit. She clearly enjoyed her time in Hamburg.
“It’s great to have a combined event here. That’s rather unusual on the World Tennis Tour. The club and the atmosphere were great. Being able to play on Centre Court in front of so many spectators today was a great experience,” said Siskova, who will have another home event next week when she competes at the World Tennis Tour tournament in Prague.
