ISMANING, October 24, 2016
Marek Jaloviec is the champion of the second edition of the Ismaning Open by Medicus, held at the Tennis Club Ismaning. The 22-year-old Czech defeated third seed Tobias Simon of Germany in Sunday’s final of the $10,000 ITF Future event 7-5, 7-6.
Jaloviec showed some solid tennis, being quick on his feed and withstood 16 aces, hitting seven of his own. The second seeded leftie broke serve in the 11th game to clinch the opening set. Jaloviec, who beat 15-year-old German talent Rudolf Molleker en-route to the final, celebrated his fourth ITF Pro Circuit title, following his triumphs in Azerbaijan, Egypt and France this season. He earned $1,440 in prize money as well as 18 ATP ranking points, reaching a new career high number 402 on Monday.
