Turkey hosts Sweden this weekend for the second round Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group II tie at the Ali Bey Hotels & Resorts in Antalya. The two teams have never met before.
The Turkish squad is led by Marsel Ilhan, the only player of the home team ranked inside the top 300 of the ATP singles ranking. He will be joined by World No. 302 Cem Ilkel, Altug Celikbilek and Anil Yuksel.
Swedish team captain Johan Hedsberg picked rising star Elias Ymer, as the nation’s best ranked player. The 20-year-old Stockholm native will be accompanied by World No. 363 Christian Lindell, as well as doubles specialists Andreas Siljestrom and Johan Brunstrom.
The tie will be played on red clay and starts on Friday with the opening singles rubbers. The winner of the tie will face either Lithuania or Georgia in the third round.
