Grigelis Rallies Past Seppi To Reach Brescia Challenger Semi-Finals

Laurynas Grigelis upset third seed and local favourite Andreas Seppi on Friday to reach the semi-finals of the €43,000 Internazionali Città di Brescia.

The 26-year-old from Lithuania fired 22 aces, winning 74 per cent of his first service points and capitalized on two of his six break point opportunities to secure victory in one hour and 32 minutes. Next up for Grigelis will be Viktor Galovic of Croatia, who eased past Uladzimir Ignatik from Belarus 6-1, 6-4 in just one hour of play.

Lacko Continues Winning Streak

Fourth seed Lukas Lacko cruised past Italian Stefano Travaglia 6-1, 6-4. The World No. 104 from Slovakia didn’t face a break point, converting three of his own to advance in only 56 minutes.

Lacko, who won his eighth match in a row after lifting the trophy on home soil in Bratislava last Sunday, will next take on Mirza Basic. The 26-year-old from Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Australian teenager Alex de Minaur 7-6, 7-6. The encounter lasted one hour and 43 minutes.
