Marcel Granollers and Enrique López Pérez will go head to head in Sunday’s singles final of the $50,000 Bangkok Open. The tournament’s two top seeds will meet for the first time.

Granollers eased past fellow Spaniard Bernabé Zapata Miralles in the semi-finals, winning 6-3, 6-0. The 31-year-old from Barcelona converted six of his 10 break point opportunities to advance to his second consecutive title match within two weeks after only 54 minutes. Granollers also lifted the trophy at last week’s ATP Challenger event in Bangkok.

López-Pérez had to fight hard, rallying past Mats Moraing from Germany 6-7, 6-1, 7-6. The World No. 265 from Madrid withstood 11 aces, hitting six of his own to prevail after one hour and 51 minutes.

Later on Saturday, US-American James Cerretani and Briton Joe Salisbury captured the doubles title. The pair defeated Spaniard Enrique López-Pérez and Pedro Martínez 6-7, 6-3, 10-8. The encounter lasted one hour and 42 minutes.
