Roland Garros runner-up Dominic Thiem is the top seed at the German Tennis Championships 2018 presented by Kampmann. The 24-year-old Austrian has won eight of his 10 ATP World Tour titles on clay and will open his campaign against French qualifier Corentin Moutet.

But a talented field will look to prevent the World No. 8 from adding a ninth clay-court trophy to his resumé. Reigning Rio de Janeiro champion Diego Schwartzman and Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, both inside the Top 15 of the ATP Rankings, are the second and third seeds, respectively. Two-time Hamburg winner Leonardo Mayer is back to defend his 2017 title, as well.

Fognini returns to Swiss Alps

After a tremendous run to the title in Bastad, Fabio Fognini is the top seed at the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad. The 31-year-old Italian now owns seven ATP World Tour titles, with all of them coming on clay courts.

Plenty of players will look to stop Fognini from triumphing again, including #NextGenATP Russian Andrey Rublev, 21-year-old Borna Coric and Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut, who is the second seed.

US-hard-court swing kicks off

Fresh off his first Grand Slam semi-final appearance, John Isner is back in action this week at the BB&T Atlanta Open. The US-American won the biggest title of his career earlier this season at the Miami Open presented by Itaú.

But the 33-year-old will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to lift his fifth trophy in Atlanta. Nick Kyrgios, who has reached the semi-finals at two of his past three tournaments, is the second seed. Other challengers include 2017 Next Gen ATP Finals champion Hyeon Chung and #NextGenATP American Frances Tiafoe.
