Jacques Reymond Joins AO Chef Series 2019

Chef Jacques Reymond has joined the Australian Open for the prestigious AO Chef Series taking place at the event next month.

The renowned chef, who now works primarily as a consultant to the restaurant and food industry, will don his chef’s whites again for the Australian Open, presenting a unique menu for tennis and food fans alike at the Glasshouse over three nights, from 20-22 January 2019.

“We are delighted to announce that Jacques Reymond will be creating a truly remarkable dining experience at the Australian Open this January,” Tennis Australia Chief Revenue Officer Richard Heaselgrave said.

“The Australian Open has built an impressive reputation on how we work with world-class, innovative chefs, and we are very pleased to welcome Monsieur Reymond, with his exceptional skills, fantastic energy and stunning contemporary cuisine, to the AO Chef Series.”

Jacques Reymond is looking forward to bringing his talents to the Australian Open.

“The AO is the most challenging of the Grand Slams, certainly for a cooking performance due to the unpredictability of the Australian weather!

“I will challenge myself to please my guests, drawing on my expertise and knowledge of the exceptional local and seasonal ingredients,” Reymond said.

Jacques Reymond will join an impressive AO Chef Series line-up including:

*          14-16 January: Simone Zanoni  Italian born executive chef, creating a Mediterranean inspired menu, from Michelin starred Four Seasons George V, France

*          17-19 January: Alejandro Saravia – innovative Melbourne based, Peruvian executive chef from Pastuso, presenting a Farmer’s Daughters, Gippsland coastal seafood menu experience

*          23-25 January: Duncan Welgemoed – exciting South Australian based executive chef creating a modern African inspired menu from, Africola, peer voted fifth best restaurant in the 2019 Top 100 Australian Restaurants.

Each session will include a five set course degustation with specially created menus and matched wines, using local produce to reflect each chef’s heritage and personal style.
