STARWING Press Release, June 28, 2019
ROKiT, a revolutionary new telecommunications company, announced a set of high profile, multi-year sponsorship agreements with world tennis stars – welcoming British number one, Johanna Konta, electrifying Frenchman, Gaël Monfils, three time Grand Slam Champion, Stan Wawrinka among others to the ROKiT family.
ROKiT is a new telco brand challenging the status quo, offering handsets featuring premium smartphone technology, with unique vital life service and entertainment packages, at an affordable price.
The ROKIT players will feature the brand logo on playing apparel at all tournaments including Grand Slams, starting at the French Open this month. The players are also scheduled to star in a mix of marketing activities and events for the ROKiT brand, who recently launched its range of affordable smart phones, packed with glasses-free 3D technology, and exclusive 3D content.
However, it is ROKiT’s commitment to having innovation at the heart of its partnerships that sets its latest sponsorship apart from the traditional. To coincide with today’s announcement, ROKiT also revealed exciting plans to create the world’s first tennis coaching content delivered in 3D and additional exclusive content to be made available via ROKiT devices, featuring behind the scenes access at tournaments and lifestyle content.
Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Brands said: “As a company, we never do anything by halves and our multifaceted commitment to tennis proves that. We have hand-picked these world class players for their unique speed, agility and flare on court and will be serving up some mind-blowing 3D content of them on our ROKiT glasses-free 3D phones.”
Konta, Monfils and Wawrinka join a roster of high-profile sports sponsorships from the brand: ROKiT is the official wireless partner of the Los Angeles Chargers, the inaugural jersey partner for the Houston Rockets, and most recently became the title partner of Williams Racing Formula One team, forming ROKiT Williams Racing as well as British Tour Car Driver, Nic Hamilton.
