M25 Oviedo ESP – Oriol Roca Batalla captures his third title of the season

26-year-old Oriol Roca Batalla triumphed at the ONTIER Cup Trofeo Real Club de Tenis de Oviedo.

The Spaniard rallied past last week’s Gyor-champion Roberto Cid Subervi from the Domenican Rubublic, who entered the tournament on position two, in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Top seeded Jose Hernandez-Fernandez from the Dominican Republic made the last step to the final by defeating Brazilian Orlando Luz in two sets.

No. 3 seeded Roca Batalla outpointed his rival 68-55 to seal a 6-3, 6-4 win after 87 minutes and was happy about the ONTIER Cup, “a spectacular tournament, one of the two best in Spain in this category.”

The Barcelona native lifted his 24th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, having won at least one title per year since his maiden championship in 2013.

M25 La Marsa TUN – Bruno Sant’anna prevails in Tunisia

The Open La Marsa hosted at Tennis Club de L’Avenir Sportif de la Marsa, concluded with the victory of Bruno Sant’anna.

In the semi-finals, the 26-year-old Brazilian eased past Marco Bortolotti from Italy in straight sets.

Last week’s Horgen-champion Louis Wessels from Germany, who entered the tournament on position four, battled past Brazilian No. 7 seed Guilherme Clezar in three sets.

Lasting one hour and 38 minutes, unseeded Sant’anna outpointed his 21-year-old opponent 76-67, to snap the final win by the score of 7-5, 6-4. He lifted his 10th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Trieste ITA – Juan Pablo Varillas earns his third trophy of the season

Juan Pablo Varillas clinched the title of the Citta di Trieste Tennis Cup, held at Tennis Events FVG by Tennis Club Triestino.

The 23-year-old Peruvian knocked off top seeded Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera from Chile, who was ranked ITF No. 5 as a junior, in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Alexander Erler from Austria advanced from the bottom half of the draw, beating Slovenian qualifier Tom Kocevar-Desman in two sets.

Unseeded Varillas served nine aces during the championship match to win 78 per cent of his first-service points. The Lima born claimed a 6-7, 6-1, 6-4 victory in two hours and 16 minutes to celebrate his fifth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Bagneres De Bigorre FRA – Eduardo Struvay with his third title in 2019

Eduardo Struvay is the champion of the Tournoi International de Bagnereres de Bigorre, held at Tennis Club de Bagneres de Bigorre.

The 28-year-old battled past Yannick Mertens from Belgium in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

British top seed Evan Hoyt emerged victorious from the semi-final clash versus No. 3 seeded Tom Jomby from France in two sets.

No. 8 seeded Struvay won 88 per cent of his first service points to prevail after 74 minutes 6-4, 6-4. The Colombian lifted his 12th trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his ATP Challenger titles in Puebla and Bogota.

M15 Sajur ISR – Yshai Oliel captures back-to-back titles on home soil

Following his triumph in Kiryat Shmona last week, 19-year-old Yshai Oliel from Israel claimed the title of the M15 Sajur tournament hosted at ITEC Sajur.

The former No. 4 in ITF Junior rankings fought past top seeded British teenager Jack Draper in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 7 seeded Giorgio Ricca from Italy advanced from the bottom half of the draw by defeating Israeli wildcard entry Yair Sarouk in three sets.

Left-handed Oliel capitalized on four of his five break-point chances by losing one service game to claim a 6-1, 7-6 win after two hours and six minutes. The No. 3 seed celebrated his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2019.

M15 Hua Hin THA – Makoto Ochi ends title drought

No. 6 seeded Makoto Ochi got the championship of the M15 Hua Hin tournament held at True Arena Hua Hin, to lift his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The 23-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Japanese semifinal-encounter against No. 2 seeded Yusuke Takahashi in three sets.

Top seed Dayne Kelly from Australia made the last step by defeating Indian No. 4 seed Sidharth Rawat in straight sets.

Converting all of his three break point chances without facing a break point, left-handed Ochi sealed the final win by the score of 6-1, 7-6 after 87 minutes. He has celebrated his first title on the ITF Pro Circuit since his championships in 2015 und 2016.

M15 Sao Bras Alportel POR – Veteran Fred Gil secures home win

The SBA Tennis Open 2019, held at Clube Tenis e Padel de SBA, concluded with the victory of Fred Gil.

The 34-year-old Portuguese, who entered the competition on position one, rallied past British No. 8 seed Luke Johnson in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Swedish Simon Freund booked the spot in the final by knocking off Julius Tverijonas from Lithuania in two sets.

Lisboa-born Gil converted six of his 17 break-point opportunities by losing three service games to secure a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 in the title match, which lasted two hours and 28 minutes. The former No. 62 of the World lifted his 14th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour besides his six titles on the ATP Challenger Tour.

M15 Tabarka TUN – Tomas Martin Etcheverry clinches back-to-back titles in Tabarka

Following his triumph last week at the same place, Tomas Martin Etcheverry claimed his second consecutive Magic Tours trophy without losing a set at the Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka.

The 20-year-old Argentinian battled past Imanol Lopez Morillo from Spain in the stage of the final four.

The tournament’s No. 3 Benjamin Lock from Zimbabwe stopped the run of Brazilian junior entry Mateus Alves in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Top seeded Etcheverry capitalized on five of his seven break-point chances by dropping three service games, to get the final victory by the score of 6-4, 6-1. The La Plata native celebrated his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Szekesfehervar HUN – Michael Vrbensky crowns his dream week

The Szekesfehervar Open, held at Bregyo Tenisz Klub, culminated in the triumph of Michael Vrebensky. In addition to his championship in the singles competition, the Czech clinched the doubles trophy together with his countryman Petr Nouza.

The 19-year-old advanced from the bottom half of the draw by defeating Kirill Kivattsev from Russia in three sets.

Croatian Duje Ajdukovic edged past No. 8 seeded Pavel Nejedly from the Czech Republik in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Unseeded Vrbensky won 75 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 6-2, 6-2 win in the championship match after 64 minutes. The Nymburg native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
