Organizers of the Challenger Eckental confirmed on Thursday that the traditional ATP Challenger event will be held this year. The international German indoor championship is taking place at the House of Sports in Eckental from October 31 to November 8, 2020.
“Now more than ever,” is the motto tournament director Marcus Slany has laid down for his team.
A total of 70 persons will be allowed to attend the matches, including honoured guests, sponsors and partners of the tournament. Tickets will not go on public sale.
Strict health measures will be in place including daily health and temperature checks for all on-site personnel as well as for spectators. Physical distancing rules and public health guidelines for hygiene must be followed. Ahead of the tournament, all players and coaches will be tested for Covid-19.
The Challenger Eckental offers a total prize money of €44,280. The winner will receive 80 ATP Ranking points.
