Frances Tiafoe and Salvatore Caruso will meet in Sunday’s singles final of the Internazionali Di Tennis Emilia Romagna. Tiafoe, the top seed of the €132,280 ATP Challenger clay-court event in Parma, Italy, fought past No. 4 seed Federico Delbonis from Argentina 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
The 22-year-old US-American fired seven aces and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to seal victory in one hour and 55 minutes.

Earlier on Saturday, Caruso defeated Alexei Popyrin of Australia 6-4, 6-4. The World No. 85 from Italy converted four of his eight break-point chances to prevail after one hour and 44 minutes.
Tiafoe won the only previous meeting between the two at the ATP Masters in Rome two years ago.
Earlier in the day, Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador and Tomislav Brkic of Bosnia and Herzegovina captured the doubles title. The pair defeated Ariel Behar from Uruguay and Gonzalo Escobar of Ecuador 6-4, 6-4. The encounter lasted one hour and nine minutes.
