M15 Villena ESP – Pol Martin Tiffon triumphs on home soil
The first edition of the ITF Ferrero World Tennis Tour, hosted by the JC Ferrero Equelite Academy in Villena, concluded with the title win of Pol Martin Tiffon. The Sports Academy of the former World No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, situated near Alicante has already organized two ATP Challenger events this season.
Unseeded Martin Tiffon emerged victorious from the all-Spanish semi-final encounter versus Carlos Lopez Montagud in two sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Marco Trungelliti from Argentina, who reached a career-high ranking of World No. 112 last year, eased past No. 3 seeded Spaniard Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
Barcelona-born Martin Tiffon converted four of his nine break-point chances in the title match and lost two service games to prevail 6-4, 6-4 in 78 minutes. The 21-year-old won his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour after his maiden title win in Cairo last year.
During the on-court trophy ceremony, the first ITF World Tennis Tour champion of Villena thanked the organization for its willingness to stage the tournament despite the situation and was extremely happy to win the title.
M15 Heraklion GRE – Mateus Alves crowns his sensational run
Mateus Alves is the champion of the 17th Lyttos Beach ITF World Tour, held at the Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy. Due to bad weather, the semi-finals and the championship match had to be played on Monday.
The 19-year-old Brazilian, who entered the main draw as a lucky loser, made the last step to the final with a straight-set win against Facundo Diaz Acosta from Argentina.
Wildcard entry Adrian Andreev from Bulgaria, who was ranked World No. 2 as a junior in 2018, benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Dutch No. 4 seed Tim van Rijthoven at the score of 0-6, 0-1.
Sao Jose do Rio Preto-born Alves made one point less in the title match but secured a 7-6, 6-4 victory in two hours and 23 minutes. The teenager lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his title win in Cancun one year ago.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Vladyslav Orlov earns his first trophy of the season
Following his defeat in the final at the same place last week, Vladyslav Orlov clinched the title of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, hosted by Soho Square.
The tournament’s second favourite from the Ukraine rallied past No. 6 seed Aldin Setkic from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the stage of the last four in three sets.
Italian Erik Crepaldi battled through the top half of the draw, beating Arnaud Bovy from Belgium in the semi-finals in two sets.
Twenty-five-year Orlov won 81 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to claim a 6-0, 6-3 win in 73 minutes. The Kharkiv native celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
