M25 Vale do Lobo POR – Top seed Kaichi Uchida prevails
Top seeded Kaichi Uchida won the M25 Vale do Lobo Open, hosted by the Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy.
The 26-year-old Japanese eased past Kenny de Schepper from France in the semi-finals in three sets.
Sebstian Fanselow from Germany, who played college tennis for Pepperdine University, advanced to the final with a straight-set win against French Tak Khunn Wang.
Lasting three hours and 29 minutes, Osaka-born Uchida won four points less in a thrilling title match, but secured a 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 victory. The former World No. 3 in the ITF Junior’s ranking celebrated his seventh singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
“I thought I was mentally a little bit better than him, but it was a very close match and I am happy that I won it,” Uchida said.
Asked about his Davis Cup debut in the tie against Pakistan, he responded: “I almost could not believe to be nominated, because in Japan there are a lot of great players so there is normally no chance for me to compete there.”

M25 Trimbach SUI – Gijs Brouwer triumphs on carpet
Gijs Brouwer clinched the trophy of the Peter Buser Open, held at the venue of TC Trimbach.
The Dutch No. 4 seed battled through the top half of the draw, beating Swiss No. 6 seed Antoine Bellier in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Elmar Ejupovic from Germany, who entered the the tournament on position five, knocked off French No 2 seed Matteo Martineau in the stage of the last four in three sets.
Left-handed Brouwer capitalized on four of his five break-point opportunities in the championship match without facing a break-point to prevail 7-5, 6-0 in 73 minutes. The 24-year-old in Houston, Texas native lifted his fifth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Bratislava SVK – Fabian Marozsan prevails in Slovakia
No. 7 seed Fabian Marozsan triumphed at the 2nd ITF WTT M15 Bratislava, hosted by the National Tennis Centre.
The 21-year-old Hungarian edged out Michal Dembek from Poland in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Frenchman Jonathan Eysseric, who was ranked World No. 1 as a junior, received a walkover in the semi-finals from his countryman Jurgen Briand.
In the title match, Eysseric had to retire at the score of 2-6, 0-3. Following his maiden title win in Turkey 2019, Budapest-born Marozsan celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 La Nucia ESP – Emilio Nava caps his dream run
The 1er Internacional David Ferrer 2021, held at Club Tenis la Nucia, concluded with the surprising victory of Emilio Nava from the United States.
The former junior’s World No. 5, who needed to qualify for the main draw, took the last step to the final by defeating Pol Martin Tiffon from Spain in two sets.
No. 3 seeded Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo won the all-Spanish semifinal-encounter against wild card entry Pablo Llamas Ruiz in straight sets.
Los Angeles resident Nava won 12 points more in the championship match to secure a 7-6, 7-5 win in about two hours of play. The 19-year-old lifted his maiden singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Kazan RUS – Yanki Erel with debut title
Yanki Erel is the champion of the Kazan Kremlin Cup 2021, hosted by the Kazan Tennis Academy.
The Turkish left-hander, who clinched the doubles-trophy of the Wimbledon Junior Championships in 2018, battled past Russian wild card entry Evgeny Philippov in the stage of the last four in two sets.
The tournament’s top favourite Alexey Zakharov emerged victorious from the all-Russian semifinal-clash versus Alibek Kachmazov in straight sets.
Twenty-year-old Erel benefited from the retirement of his opponent in the title match at the score of 6-3, 3-0, to celebrate his maiden title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Yu Hsiou Hsu captures back-to-back titles
The M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square, concluded with the second consecutive title win of Yu Hsiou Hsu.
The 21-year-old from Chinese Taipei rallied down Cypriot No. 6 seed Petros Chrysochos in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Austrian qualifier Lukas Krainer continued his great run, beating Hanwen Li from China in the semi-finals in three sets.
Changhua-born Hsu outpointed his 20-year-old rival in the championship match 58-31 to seal victory 6-2, 6-1 in 57 minutes. The former junior’s World No. 5, who clinched three doubles trophies at junior Grand Slam events in 2017, celebrated his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in Sharm El Sheikh during this season.
M15 Antalya TUR – Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida wins maiden title
Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida clinched the trophy of the MTA Open Series, hosted by the Club Megasaray in Belek.
The 19-year-old Brazilian made the last step to the final by defeating Dragos Dima from Romania in straight sets.
No. 5 seeded Milan Zekic from Serbia eased past German No. 3 seed Peter Heller in the semi-finals in two tiebreak-sets.
Unseeded Pucinelli de Almeida converted three of his five break-point chances in the title match by losing one service game to prevail 6-4, 6-4 in about two hours. The Campinas native, who won the 2019 French Open boys’ doubles title, lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Fukuoka-born Nakagawa, who lives in Bradenton,Florida, won 79 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to seal a 7-6, 6-4 win after two hours and seven minutes. The 24-year-old celebrated his second career trophy following his maiden title win on the ITF World Tennis Tour in 2013.

M15 Indore IND – Zane Khane earns back-to-back titles in India
Following his title win on Indian soil last week, Zane Khane captured the title of the M15 Indore tournament, hosted by the Indore Tennis Club.
The 19-year-old US-American battled through the bottom half of the draw, defeating Ukrainian No. 6 seed Eric Vanshelboim in the semi-finals in straight sets.
British No. 3 seed Aidan McHugh booked his spot in the final with a three-set win against Marco Brugnerotto from Italy.
Unseeded Khan fired 14 aces in the title match and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 victory after three hours and 23 minutes. The Houston native, who reached the under-18 final of the Metropolia Orange Bowl International Championships 2018 out of the qualifying competition, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
