Tallon Griekspoor is the champion of the I.CLTK PRAGUE OPEN 2021 BY MONETA MONEYBANK, a €44,820 clay-court tournament held at the I. Cesky Lawn-Tennis Klub Praha in the capital city of the Czech Republic.
In Sunday’s singles final between two unseeded players, the 24-year-old Dutch rallied from a set and a break down to overcome Oscar Otte from Germany 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. Griekspoor withstood nine aces and broke his opponent’s serve five times to secure his first victory over Otte in the pair’s fourth meeting. The encounter lasted two hours and eight minutes.
By lifting his third ATP Challenger trophy, his first since the 2019 Srspka Open in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Griekspoor pocketed €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
