Mike & Bob Bryan

The Bryan twins held the number one spot in the doubles for a record of four hundred and thirty-eight weeks. They are also known as one of the most successful teams in doubles history and they even have an Olympic gold medal from the London 2012 games, where they not only won the gold but multiple other titles in the mixed doubles category.

They were the only duo to hold the Olympic and every Major for one year after their 2013 win and they have played consistently ever since their debut at fifteen years old. Bob and Mike Bryan retired in August 2020.

Martina Navratilova & Pam Shriver

One of the only doubles teams on our list that isn’t related to each other is Pam Shriver and Martina Navratilova. They have many records and titles over the years they played together, but Navratilova’s record of holding the number one place in both singles and doubles for over two hundred weeks. She held the No. 1 in singles for over three hundred and thirty weeks, so it’s impressive.

The two women partnered together in 1981 and 1984 was their biggest year when they won every major doubles tournament that year (Calendar Grand Slam). The women ended their partnership with a total of twenty-one titles across all possible Majors doubles tournaments they played.

Todd Woodbridge & Mark Woodforde

The Woodies as they are called are Australian players with a total of eleven Majors titles and a gold medal from the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. The team was created in 1991 and they played together for nine years until the retirement of Mark Woodforde. On occasion, they do exhibition matches and there is a bronze statue in their honor at Melbourne Park.
