M25 Sierre SUI – Rinky Hijikata prevails on clay in Switzerland
Following three title wins on hard court, Rinky Hijikata from Australia captured the trophy of the AXA Open Sierre, held at TC Sierre located in the canton Wallis.
The former junior’s World No. 9 fought past Remy Bertola from Switzerland in the semi-finals in two tie-break sets.
No. 2 seed Oliver Crawford emerged victorious from the all-US American semifinal-clash against No. 6 seed Patrick Kypson in straight sets.
Unseeded Hijikata gained four breaks in the title match and lost two service games to secure a 7-6, 6-1 win in one hour and 35 minutes. The 20-year-old from Sydney celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third in 2021.
“It was an unbelievable week here and it has been a lot of fun to play here. I feel pretty stunned at the moment winning a few matches on clay for a change and winning my first 25k-title,” Hijikata said after the match, quoted by the tournament’s social media channels.

In the all-Swiss doubles-final with the top two favourite teams, No. 1 seeds Jakub Paul and Yannik Steinegger beat Remy Bertola and Luca Castelnuovo 6-3, 6-2. Twenty-two-year-old Paul lifted his fifth doubles trophy of the season.
M25 Ricany CZE – Zsombor Piros captures third title of the season
Zsombor Piros took the trophy of the Penta Traiding Ricany Open 2021, hosted by the venue of Oaza Ricany.
The 21-year-old Hungarian benefited from the retirement of Robin Stanek from the Czech Rupublic in the semi-finals at the score of 5-1.
After winning the first set, Yshai Oliel from Israel profited in the stage of the final four from the retirement of British No. 4 seed Ryan Peniston.
No. 6 seeded Piros won 78 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 after more than two hours. The Budapest native, who won the Australian Open 2017 and was ranked World No. 3 as a junior, lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third in 2021.
M25 Bagneres-de-Bigorre FRA – Antoine Escoffier wins another title on hard court
The Tournoi International de Bagneres de Bigorre, held at Tennis Club de Bagneres de Bigorre, concluded with the title win of Antoine Escoffier.
The French No. 3 seed cruised past his countryman Kenny de Schepper in the semi-finals in straight sets.
British qualifier Millen Hurrion made the last step to the final by defeating French teenager Arthur Fils, who is currently ranked No. 4 in ITF Juniors, in two sets.
Twenty-nine-year-old Escoffier capitalized on all of his four break-point opportunities in the title match and dropped one service game to succeed 7-6, 6-0 in 85 minutes. The Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin native celebrated his 10th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on hard court.
M25 Oviedo ESP – Oriol Roca Batalla triumphs on home soil
Defending champion Oriol Roca Batalla from Barcelona emerged victorious at the Ontier Cup, hosted by Real Club de Tenis de Oviedo.
The 28-year-old Spaniard, who entered the tournament on position three, advanced to the final with a three-set victory versus Peruvian No. 5 seed Nicolas Alvarez.
No. 4 seeded Alvaro Lopez San Martin won the all-Spanish semifinal-encounter against qualifier Alejandro Garcia in two clear sets.
Barcelona-born Roca Batalla received a walkover in the championship match to lift his 25th singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Allershausen GER – Guy den Ouden clinches back-to-back titles
Follwing his maiden triumph on the ITF World Tennis Tour last week in Belgium, Guy den Ouden from the Netherlands captured the title of the Allershausen Open. The first edition of the tournament, which was held at TC Allershausen located in the North of Munich, concluded a five weeks lasting clay-court swing in Germany.
Nineteen-year-old den Ouden, who plays college tennis for the University of Pepperdine, battled past German No. 3 seed Mats Rosenkranz in the semi-finals in three sets.
Left-handed Mick Veldheer, who has been practicing at the Estess Tennis Academy in Austria for many years, set the all-Dutch final with a three-set win against David Jorda Sanchis from Spain.
Junior entry den Ouden converted six of his 12 break-point chances in the title match to claim victory with 6-0, 6-4 in 78 minutes.

M15 Bad Waltersdorf AUT – Timo Stodder earns second consecutive title in Austria
Unseeded Timo Stodder clinched another title at the Bad Waltersdorf Open 2021, hosted by Sportaktivpark Bad Waltersdorf.
The former college player for the University of Tennessee edged out Austrian No. 2 seed David Pichler in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Slovenian qualifier Matic Spec continued his great run, beating Omar Giacolone from Italy in the semi-finals in three sets.
Twenty-five-year-old Stodder broke his opponent for five times and won eight points more in the championship match to triumph 6-3, 6-4 after one hour and 48 minutes. The Berlin native celebrated his second career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden championship at the same place last week.

M15 Zilina SVK – Fabian Maroszan captures second title of the season
Fabian Maroszan clinched the trophy of the M15 Zilina tournament, hosted by Tennis Club Zilina.
The 21-year-old Hungarian took the last step to the final by defeating Mariano Navone from Argentina in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Chilean No. 6 seed Bastian Malla finished the run of Spanish qualifier Soriano Barrera in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Budapest-born Maroszan gained one break more in the title match to seal a 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory in 96 minutes. The No. 3 seed lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second in 2021.
M15 Ulcinj MNE – Gergely Madarasz returns to winners’ circle
The M15 Karisma Adriatic Montenegro ITF World Tour, held at Tennis Club Bellevue in Ulcinj, concluded with the title win of Gergely Madarasz.
The Hungarian No. 8 seed knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Eric Vanshelboim from the Ukraine in the semi-finals in three sets.
Argentinian No. 2 seed Juan Pablo Paz booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against Ignacio Carou from Uruguay.
Twenty-six-year-old Madarasz outpinted his rival of the same age in the championship match 90-68 to prevail 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 after two hours and 13 minutes. The Baja native, who took a break from professional tennis to pursue his study between 2014 and 2018, celebrated his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis tour following his maiden title in 2013.
M15 Chornomorsk UKR – Illya Beloborodko wins maiden title on home soil
Illya Beloborodko is the champion of the M15 Chornomorsk tournament, hosted by the venue of Elite Tennis Club.
The local hero battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Russian No. 5 seed Yan Bondarevskiy in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Moldovan junior entry Ilya Snitari received a walkover in the semi-finals from top seeded Kazakh Denis Yevseyev.
In the title match with both players gaining four breaks, unseeded Beloborodko won one point less but secured a 7-6, 7-6 win in two hours and 44 minutes. The 20-year-old lifted his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

Renta Tokuda clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir without dropping a set the entire week.
The 23-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Japanese semifinal-encounter against No. 7 seed Yuki Mochizuki.
US-American qualifier Kyle Seelig cruised past last week’s Monastir champion Li Tu from Australia in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Hiroshima-born Tokuda capitalized on six of his seven break-point opportunities in the championship match to triumph 7-5, 6-0 in 85 minutes. The No. 3 seed celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.

The Italian stopped the run of Argentinian qualifier Valerio Aboian in the semi-finals in three sets.
Ryota Tanuma, the Japanese No. 4 seed, advanced to the final with a three-set win versus No. 2 seeded Frenchman Quentin Folliot.
Unseeded Ragazzi won 76 per cent of his first-service points in the title match and converted all of his three break-point chances to claim a 7-6, 6-2 victory after one hour 27 minutes. The 24-year-old lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.
