After the disruptions caused by Covid-19 in 2020, the year 2021 has been a busy one on the sporting front. As we head towards the end of the year, we still have several sporting events, and particularly, top tennis events to look out for, and here is a list of some of the top events you should not miss this November.
Asians are growing increasingly pro betting, with top global events taking place across different cities in the continent. Rolex Paris Masters – (November 1 – 7)
The 2021 Rolex Paris Masters will be the season’s final Masters, with a field that includes Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Outside of the Nitto ATP Finals, the Paris Masters will be the final major tournament of the season in 2021. It will take place in the first week of November, from the 1st to the 7th, and will feature Novak Djokovic. It will serve as a wonderful warm-up tournament for the greatest players in the world, which of course include Djokovic.
Billie Jean King Cup finals – (November 1 – 6)
The Billie Jean King Cup finals will be held in the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, from November 1 to November 6, with the final scheduled for November 6.
The tournament was originally set for 14-19 April 2020 in Budapest, Hungary, following the completion of the qualifying round in February of that year, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Hungary then backed out of hosting obligations ahead of the rescheduled event in 2021, handing over the baton to the Czech Republic.
Upper Austria Ladies Linz (November 6 -12)
This year’s Ladies 2021 tournament in Linz will take place from November 6th to 12th, with a strong field led by Simona Halep and Emma Raducanu.
The Upper Austria Ladies Linz tournament, which takes place in the second week of November, is one of the final WTA events of the year. It’s an indoor hard court tournament that should favour players who love playing aggressive tennis and who can serve well. It’s a WTA 250 event with a prize pool of $235,238.
The WTA Linz is a returning event, with the 2021 edition being the 31st edition. It was last hosted during the epidemic in 2020, when Aryna Sabalenka won a competitive event, defeating Elise Mertens in the final. The event is usually held in October, but it was moved to November owing to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.
WTA Finals (November 10 -17)
The season-ending WTA Finals have been shifted from China to Guadalajara, Mexico, according to the WTA.
The competition was supposed to take place in November in Shenzhen, China. The WTA did not provide an explanation for the change, but stated that the tournament will return to Shenzhen next year. Shenzhen hosted the WTA Finals for the first time in 2019 (there was no event the previous year) and will continue to do so until 2030.
The 2021 tournament will be held from November 10 in Zapopan (Guadalajara), Mexico, following a reorganization of the tennis schedule due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
