Spanish veteran Albert Ramos-Vinolas clinched the title of the $493,875 Córdoba Open held at the Kempes Stadium in Córdoba, Argentina. The No. 6 seed of the ATP 250 clay-court tournament ended the run of Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo, rallying 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
Ramos-Vinolas withstood eight aces and broke his opponent’s serve seven times to prevail after two hours and 40 minutes. The 34-year-old lefty from Barcelona booked his place in the championship match with wins over Andrej Martin from Slovakia, Juan Pablo Varillas of Peru, Italian Lorenzo Sonego and Argentine wild card entry Juan Ignacio Londero to lift his fourth career trophy on the ATP Tour.

“I’m really happy. Incredible for me to have the fourth title. It was very difficult today,” said Ramos-Vinolas, who finished runner-up to home favourite Juan Manuel Cerundolo in last year’s tournament. “I was almost lost, and somehow I came back. I cannot be more happy.”
Ramos-Vinolas pocketed $46,175 in prize money and collected 250 ATP Ranking points.
Gonzalez/Molteni triumph in doubles
Earlier in the day, Santiago Gonzalez from Mexico and Andres Molteni of Argentina captured their third ATP Tour doubles title together when they defeated Andrej Martin and Tristan-Samuel Weissborn of Austria 7-5, 6-3. The top seeds secured victory in one hour and 17 minutes.

“I always felt comfortable in this tournament. Having few opportunities to play in my country, it is special. I feel like I have to take advantage of them. Regarding today’s match, I think we served and returned well. In addition, the key was to be aggressive at key moments,” said Molteni, who took the Córdoba Open title alongside Czech Roman Jebavy three years ago.
Gonzalez and Molteni split $16,370 in prize money and earned 250 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
