Trungelliti started to find his rhythm in the second set, came from a break down and pushed the match the distance. Cachin, however, won 94 per cent of his first-service points in the third set and gained the decisive break in the eighth game to prevail after two hours and 17 minutes.

“It was another difficult match at a great level. Playing a final is never easy,” Cachin told Tennis TourTalk. “I was able to solve the problems I had in the second set. I played very well here the entire week and had already enjoyed two good weeks before. I am very pleased with this title here and now it’s about to maintain the level.”
By lifting his third ATP Challenger career trophy, his first of the season, Cachin earned €6,190 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points. The 26-year-old from Cordoba is projected to crack the Top 200 again, going to be ranked World No. 174 on Monday, eight places below his personal best.
