KITZBÜHEL/STARNBERG, June 28, 2022

World No. 6 Casper Ruud leads the entry list of the Generali Open in Kitzbühel. This was announced by the organizers of the ATP 250 clay-court tournament, to be held from July 23 to 30, on Tuesday.

The defending champion from Norway will be joined by further Top 25 players Matteo Berrettini of Italy, Roberto Bautista Agut from Spain and Frenchman Gael Monfils.

“We are the strongest tournament this week. Such a field of players is anything but a matter of course for an ATP 250 tournament,” said tournament director Alexander Antonitsch. “It makes us particularly proud that many players like Kitzbühel so much that they always want to come back.”

Austria’s fan favourite Dominic Thiem, 2019 champion in the Tyrolean Alps, will open his home campaign in a night session on Tuesday, July 26. The World No. 346 has entered the Generali Open with his protected ranking.
