M15 Eindhoven NED – Juan Bautista Otegui returns to winners’ circle
Juan Bautista Otegui won the title of the Amjoy Cup Powered by Audi, held at the venue of ELTV Eindhoven.
The 23-year-old Argentinian defeated Austrian No. 7 seed David Pichler in the stage of the final four in two sets.
No. 5 seeded Frenchman Arthur Reymond knocked off Dutch No. 4 seed Max Houkes in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Second-seeded Otegui gained three breaks more and won 77 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to claim a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win after two hours and 11 minutes. The Rauch native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2019.
Otegui was in Eindhoven with his coach Nicolas Alderete. “Juan has a difficult time behind him,” said Alderete. “That started when he was 16. He grew so fast that his muscles couldn’t keep up. He was tall, but thin as a stick. That led to excruciating pain in his lower back. But now he is fit, and we can try to get further in the professional circuit.”
M15 Craiova ROU – Cezar Cretu captures maiden title on home soil
Cezar Cretu succeeded at the Oltenia Trophy, held at Tenis Club Stanica in Craiova.
The 21-year-old Romanian fought past Argentinian No. 3 seed Juan Pablo Paz in the semi-finals in three sets.
The tournament’s top seed Nicholas David Ionel set the all-Romanian final with a three-set win against Illya Beloborodko from the Ukraine.
No. 2 seeded Cretu outpointed his 19-year-old rival in the championship match 96-85 to prevail 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 after two hours and 12 minutes. The Iasi native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Ciruit.

M25 Muttenz SUI – Lukas Rosol dominates in Switzerland
Former World No. 26 Lukas Rosol gained the trophy of the Muttenz Open by Rado, hosted by TC Coop, without dropping a set during the tournament.
The Czech No. 2 seed made the last step to the final by defeating Damien Wenger from Switzerland in straight sets.
Maxime Mora emerged victorious from the all-French semifinal-battle against No. 4 seed Matteo Martineau in three sets.
Rosol, 37, sent down seven aces in the championship match and won 90 per cent of his first-service points to prevail 6-4, 6-4 in 74 minutes. The Brno native celabrated his 17th singles title on the Pro Circuit including two titles on the ATP Tour and nine triumphs on the ATP Challenger Tour.

M25 Koksijde BEL – Raphael Collignon celebrates fourth title of the season
The Koksijde Mens Trophy, held at Tennis & Paddelclub Koksijde, concluded with the title win of local hero Raphael Collignon.
The 20-year-old Belgian cruised past No. 7 seeded Spaniard Carlos Sanchez Jover in the semi-finals in two sets.
Top seed Hernan Casanova of Argentina reached the final with a straight-set win against Wilson Leite from Brazil.
No. 5 seeded Collignon broke his 28-year-old opponent in the title match five times and didn’t lose a service game to secure a 6-1, 6-1 victory in about one hour. The Rochester native lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2022.

M25 Aldershot GBR – Filip Peliwo wins another title on hard court
Filip Peliwo got the title of the M25 Aldershot tournament, hosted by Aldershot Tennis Centre.
The 28-year-old Pole battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating French No. 5 seed Antoine Hoang in the semis in three sets.
Swiss top seed Leandro Riedi eased past No. 7 seed Edan Leshem from Israel in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Canada-born Peliwo scored five points more in the championship match to succeed 6-4, 7-6 in one hour and 43 minutes. The No. 3 seed celebrated his 13th singles title on the Pro Circuit including his ATP Challenger title in Knoxville 2017. The former junior’s World No. 1, who clinched the junior trophies at Wimbledon and at the US Open 2012, achieved all his titles on hard court.

M15 Jakarta INA – Shintaro Imai dominates in Indonesia
Shintaro Imai was crowned champion at the Amman Mineral International Tennis Championships 2022, hosted by Hotel Sultantennis Court, without dropping a set the entire week.
The Japanese No. 2 seed stopped wildcard entry Fitriadi M Rifqi from Indonesia in the semi-finals in straight sets.
The tournament’s top seed Sasikumar Mukund from India booked the spot in the final with a three-set win against Japanese No. 4 seed Yuki Mochizuki.

M15 Bad Waltersdorf AUT – Timo Stodder remains solid in Bad Waltersdorf
Timo Stodder from Germany captured another title of the Bad Waltersdorf Open, held at the venue of Sportaktivpark Bad Waltersdorf.
The former college player for the University of Tennessee ended the run of Italian qualifier Luca Giacomini in the semi-finals in two sets.
Lukas Pokorny from Slovakia advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus Hungarian No. 3 seed Gergely Madarasz.
No. 2 seeded Stodder gained the only four breaks in the title match and won 92 per cent of his first-service points to seal a 6-2, 63 victory in about one hour. The 26-year-old from Berlin lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third at the same place.

Left-handed Lucas Gerch was victorious at the Überlingen Open, hosted by TC Altbirnau Überlingen.
The tournament’s top favourite from Germany took the last step to the final by defeating Serbian No. 7 seed Stefan Popovic in two sets.
No. 3 seed Peter Heller won the all-German semifinal-clash against his No. 2 seeded compatriot Tim Handel in straight sets.
Twenty-seven-year-old Gerch won 86 per cent of his first-service points and earned the only four breaks in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 6-1 in 64 minutes. The Berlin native, who played college tennis for the Oklahoma State University, celebrated his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on clay.

M15 Anseong KOR – Cheong-Eui Kim returns to winners’ circle
Cheong-Eui Kim claimed the trophy of the M15 Anseong tournament, which was held at Anseong International Tennis Center.
The veteran seed eased past his fellow Korean Jae Hwan Kim in the stage of the last four in three sets.
Sora Fukuda from Japan continued his great run, beating Australian No. 2 seed Thomas Fancutt in the semi-finals in straight sets.
In the title match with both players gaining three breaks, No. 3 seed Kim struck eight aces and won 84 per cent of his first-service points to secure a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory after two hours and 33 minutes. The 32-year-old lifted his 13th career trophy and his first since 2018.
M15 Memphis USA – Garrett Johns clinches maiden trophy
Garrett Johns is the champion of the Oliver Foundation USTA 15K, hosted by Snowden Grove Tennis Complex in Tennessee.
The college player for the Duke University won the all-US-American semifinal-clash against No. 7 seed Sam Riffice in three sets.
Japanese No. 6 seed Shunsuke Mitsui, who was ranked World No. 6 as a junior, advanced to the final with a three-set win against No. 2 seeded Ezekiel Clark from the United States.
Atlanta-born Johns converted six of his nine break-point chances in the championship match and lost one service game to prevail 6-2, 6-0 in 79 minutes. The 21-year-old celebrated his first title on the Pro Circuit.

Jorge Brian Panta took the title of the World Tennis Tour Cancun 2022, hosted by Cancun Tennis Complex.
The 27-year-old Peruvian eased past No. 6 seed Alexander Cozbinov from Moldova in the semi-finals in two sets.
No. 4 seed Adam Walton from Australia knocked off French top seed and last week’s Cancun champion Jaimee Floyd Angele in the semis in straight sets.
In the championship match with both players earning two breaks, Piura-born Panta withstood 20 aces from his 23-year-old rival to triumph 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 after three hours and 11 minutes. The No. 3 seed celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden championship at the same place three years ago.

Unseeded Ivanovski capitalized on seven of his 11 break-point opportunities in the title match by dropping five service-games to claim a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 win after two hours and 26 minutes. The Skopje native, who entered the tournament as a junior entry, lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.
