Humbert is seeking his ninth ATP Challenger career crown, his second of the season following his triumph at the Sardegna Open in Cagliari, Italy earlier this month and would return to the Top 40 in the ATP Live Rankings for the first time since 31 January, 2022.
Etcheverry, seeded seventh in Bordeaux, could lift his fourth Challenger trophy. Humbert won the only previous meeting between the two in the first round at Wimbledon last year.
