Clara Burel came back from a set down to outlast Chloe Paquet to win the third edition of the Open P2i Angers Arena Loire WTA 125 indoor hard-court tournament in Angers, France. The 22-year-old became the first Frenchwoman to triumph at the Arena Loire Trelaze.

“When I was behind in the second set, I didn’t necessarily see myself winning, but I knew that a match is never over until the last point. A match can shift in an instant, and I knew it could happen to me,” Burel said after lifting her first trophy on the WTA Tour and fifth on the Pro Circuit.
“I tried to stay in the match as much as possible, to hang in there, and eventually, it worked. I had friends and family who came to see me, and it was really nice to have them by my side. The crowd was very supportive, and it was fantastic.”
