Just before the start of the new season, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz have already faced off in their first test against each other. In an exhibition match held on Wednesday at the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia, both players assessed their form before kicking off their season in Australia. Alcaraz emerged victorious, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Djokovic and Alcaraz faced each other four times on the ATP Tour in 2023. The Serbian knocked Alcaraz out of the French Open on his way to winning the tournament at Roland Garros, before the thrilling Wimbledon final between the duo which went the way of the Spaniard.
Djokovic got some revenge at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati, and then he won again at the Nitto ATP Finals to make it 3-2 for the Serbian in their overall head-to-head.
