The semi-finals are set at the €85,000 BNP Paribas Primrose ATP Challenger in Bordeaux with Rogerio Dutra Silva as the last seeded player left in the draw. The tournament’s number seven defeated Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 7-6.

The world number 94 from Brazil won 70% of his first service points and converted three of his five break point opportunities to prevail in one hour and 35 minutes.

“It was tough match today in pretty windy conditions but I kept my focus and I am happy to be through,” Dutra Silva told.

He will take on Elias Ymer. The Swedish youngster beat Jonathan Eysseric 6-4, 7-5. The 20-year-old won 75% of his first service points to reach his second consecutive semi-final in France after one hour and 14 minutes. Seven days ago, Ymer lost to Carlos Berlocq in the stage of the final four in Aix-en-Provence.

Bjorn Fratangelo rallied back from a set down, saving two match points to overcome Steve Darcis. The 22-year-old US-American sent down five aces, winning 75% of his first service points to secure a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 victory in two hours and 12 minutes.

“It was a really good match today. I really had to fight hard to reach the tie-break in the third set. He had a couple of match points but I got lucky on the second one, as he had a really good looking forehand. I am happy to be through,” Fratangelo was relieved.

Fratangelo will play Máximo Gonzalez in the semi-final. The 32-year-old Argentine also completed a comeback, beating Andre Ghem 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. Gonzalez won 53% of the total points, finishing the encounter after two hours and eight minutes.
