HAMBURG, February 20, 2025
Another world-class player has confirmed his participation in the Hamburg Open. Holger Rune will compete in the prestigious ATP 500 clay-court tournament, set to take place at the Rothenbaum Tennis Complex from May 17-24. With Rune’s confirmation, the tournament’s lineup is taking shape, featuring some of the biggest names in tennis.
Before Rune, Top 10 player Andrey Rublev, crowd favorite Gael Monfils, and Germany’s No. 2, Jan-Lennard Struff, had already committed to the event. Additionally, the defending doubles champions Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz will return to Hamburg. More top players are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Currently ranked No. 12 in the ATP rankings, Rune has established himself as a consistent force on the tour. At just 21 years old, the Danish star remains one of the sport’s most exciting young talents.
