Real Murcia Club de Tenis 1919 player Ivan Gakhov has secured a spot in the semifinals of the Challenger Costa Calida Region de Murcia after defeating Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan on Friday. The 28-year-old Russian wild card entry completed his comeback victory in three sets, winning 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Joining Gakhov in the singles semifinals are Kimmer Coppejans, who overcame Pablo Llamas Ruiz of Spain in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Dutchman Jesper de Jong, who advanced after Frenchman Harold Mayot withdrew; and home favourite Carlos Taberner, who claimed an impressive win over Marton Fucsovics from Hungary in a thrilling third-set tie-break 7-5, 5-7, 7-6(3).
Doubles final set
The doubles final, scheduled for Saturday, will feature the duo of Gregorie Jacq and Orlando Luz, who defeated David Vega and Anirudh Chandrasekar 6-3, 6-4, facing off against Jesper de Jong and Mats Hermans, who secured their place with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Edas Butvilas and Ramkumar Ramanathan.
