Juan Manuel La Serna has captured the title of the Copa Ciudad de Villa Maria. The top seed of the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 clay-court tournament defeated unseeded Brazilian Pedro Rodrigues 6-4, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.
La Serna advanced to the championship match with wins in the top half of the draw over his fellow Argentines Mateo del Pino, Lautaro Correa Beguerie, Tomas Martinez and Juan Estevez.
In the final and in front of his family and friends from the province of Cordoba, the 21-year-old from Catamarca capitalized on five of his 10 break-point chances to seal victory in one hour and 32 minutes.

La Serna, a former Top 40 junior, claimed his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his first of the season. The World No. 573 pocketed $2,160 in prize money as well as 15 ATP Ranking points.
