Hamburg Open Entry List Released

Hamburg Open at the Planetarium

HAMBURG, April 22, 2025

In line with this year’s motto of the Hamburg Open, “The Stage of the Stars,” the organizers of the tournament announced on Tuesday the official entry list for the 2025 edition of the ATP 500 tournament (May 17–24, 2025) at the famous Sternensaal of the Planetarium. True to the slogan, this year’s tournament will feature some of the biggest names in international men’s tennis.

At the top of the entry list is none other than World No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion Jannik Sinner, who will make his highly anticipated debut in Hamburg. Joining him are former Rothenbaum champions Andrey Rublev and Lorenzo Musetti, Danish top-10 player and reigning Barcelona champion Holger Rune, as well as Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas. Also on the list are crowd favorites Gaël Monfils, Felix Auger-Aliassime, US-Americans Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe, as well as the rising star Jakub Mensík from the Czech Republic, winner of the Miami Open ATP Masters 1000.

Particularly exciting for German tennis fans is the participation of Germany’s No. 2, Jan-Lennard Struff, who will receive a wild card. Familiar faces at the Hamburg venue are Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz. The defending champions and current ATP doubles world champions will also be competing in this year’s Hamburg Open.

“We are very pleased that the world number one is playing in Hamburg for the first time since 2008, which is a strong statement about the sporting appeal of our tournament. Jannik Sinner leads an incredible field of players, all of whom are in the top 50, the strongest Hamburg has seen in over 15 years, and we are thrilled to offer our fans such a world-class level. This is exactly what we mean by ‘The Stage of Stars’: bringing great players and fan favorites to the Centre Court while also creating room for new and exciting tennis stories at Rothenbaum,” said tournament director Enric Molina Mur.

“After our successful launch in 2024, we are expanding our commitment as organizers. The Hamburg Open is a central part of our global tournament portfolio – and the 2025 entry list shows that our vision is coming to fruition: top-level sports combined with real fan engagement. ‘The Stage of Stars’ is not just a motto – it is our ambition,” said Kristoff Puelinckx, CEO of Tennium.
