CAMPINAS/STARNBERG, April 5, 2026
The wait is over. The Copa Internacional de Tenis de Campinas, an ATP Challenger 75 event, gets underway this Sunday at Sociedade Hipica de Campinas, launching the 16th edition of Brazil’s most traditional tournament at this level.
Play begins with the opening round of qualifying, as players battle for places in the main draw. The final round of qualifying will be played on Monday, alongside the start of the main draw.
Tournament organizers have also awarded a main draw wild card to Brazilian Paulo Andre Saraiva dos Santos. The 25-year-old, currently ranked No. 250 in the world, earned the invitation after an impressive week at the Challenger in Sao Leopoldo, where he reached the semifinals.
“I found out about the wild card after today’s match,” Saraiva dos Santos said. “I didn’t expect it, but at the same time I kind of did, because the Brazilians outside the main draw always have that chance, and my week here in São Leo gave me some credit to be included.”
The Brazilian said he was grateful for the opportunity provided by Instituto Sports.
“I was super happy to receive the wild card. I want to thank Instituto Sports and I hope, just like this week, to play good matches, perform well and go as far as possible.”
Away from the courts, fans attending the event at Sociedade Hipica de Campinas will also be able to enjoy a variety of attractions throughout the week.
Among the highlights is the official INNI store, featuring the brand’s exclusive collection of clothing, bags and backpacks.
Another special attraction will be the display of the ATP Challenger Curitiba trophy, which was awarded as the best tournament in the world in its category in 2025. The trophy, created with an exclusive design and produced at the Vivara factory in Manaus, will be exhibited throughout the event.
In addition, the singles champion and runner-up in Campinas will receive exclusive Vivara watches alongside the tournament’s traditional trophies.
