Terra Wortmann Open in Halle

HALLE, WESTPHALIA/STARNBERG, May 20, 2026

The countdown to the 33rd edition of the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN officially began with Monday’s press conference in Halle (Westphalia), where tournament director and managing partner Ralf Weber, Wortmann AG representative and managing partner Sven Wortmann, as well as Christian Anwey, Head of Marketing & Communications, presented the sporting and organizational highlights of the ATP 500 event scheduled from June 13 to 21, 2026 at the heristo-arena.

At the center of attention was another world-class player field featuring some of the biggest names in men’s tennis. Fans can look forward to appearances by Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Andrey Rublev and defending champion Alexander Bublik. In addition, Nick Kyrgios will compete in Halle with a wild card entry.

“The TERRA WORTMANN OPEN have stood for world-class tennis, a unique atmosphere and close interaction with the fans for many years,” said tournament director Ralf Weber. “We are delighted to once again welcome numerous top players to Halle in 2026 and, together with our partners and sponsors, create another unforgettable tournament experience.”

One of the key announcements of the press conference was the extension of the partnership between the tournament and Wortmann AG, which will remain title sponsor beyond 2026 and has committed to the event until at least 2027.

“The TERRA WORTMANN OPEN are much more than just an international sporting event,” said Sven Wortmann. “The tournament stands for passion, reliability and international appeal — values that also define our company. We are therefore very pleased to continue this successful partnership as title sponsor in 2027.”

Beyond the action on Centre Court, visitors can once again expect an extensive entertainment program throughout the tournament week. German music stars Joris, Madeline Juno and Giovanni Zarrella will perform during the event, while the GOP Varieté-Theater will also contribute special performances to the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN Event Night 2026.

Fans will additionally enjoy daily public practice sessions, autograph opportunities with the players and talks on the Antenne stage featuring tennis stars and prominent guests.

A brand-new addition to the schedule will be the Naidi One Point Trophy, debuting on qualifying Sunday, June 14. Preliminary matches of the innovative format will take place at TC Blau-Weiß Halle before the final is staged on the schauinsland-reisen Court at the tournament grounds. The event will be hosted by TV presenter Mathias Stach and will feature professional players alongside invited guests.

The 2026 edition also marks a new chapter for the tournament venue with further modernization work around the newly named heristo-arena. Upgrades include new LED boards in the upper tier, a fully modernized LED player tunnel, a new LED VIP tunnel and a 25-meter LED display along the arena façade. Locker rooms and sanitary facilities have also been renovated.

Another major innovation is the IKONO Premium Club in Block A of the heristo-arena, officially opening on June 17. The exclusive hospitality area will accommodate up to 180 guests and combine premium catering with direct views of Centre Court and seamless access to seating areas.

Organizers are once again expecting strong ticket demand and an international audience for one of the key grass-court events ahead of Wimbledon. Tickets for all categories throughout the tournament week remain available through the official TERRA WORTMANN OPEN ticket shop.
