PARIS, June 19, 2017 (FFT Press Release)

An official partner and timekeeper of the Paris-based Masters 1000 since 2007, Rolex, the prestigious watch manufacturer, has Monday become the event’s naming partner.

The tournament, run by the French Tennis Federation, will henceforth be known as the Rolex Paris Masters, as per an agreement that will span the next 10 years.

With this long-term partnership, the FFT has confirmed its desire to associate with brands the reputation, prestige and excellence of which correspond perfectly with the values of French tennis and of the Paris Masters.

For almost a century, Rolex has been associated with the quest for excellence inherent in sport. These days, the iconic Swiss watch brand, which embodies both elegance and sporting performance, is present at the most prestigious events in golf, sailing, tennis and motor sport, as well as at equestrian tournaments. The Rolex Paris Masters now joins that illustrious list.

As well as its status of naming partner, Rolex’s long-term commitment will translate into prime visibility around the court, a premium area for VIPs and an innovative approach to digital content.

Bernard Giudicelli, President of the FFT:
“This 10-year agreement with a brand as prestigious as Rolex confirms the tournament’s strong appeal and the FFT’s professionalism. It will enable us to increase the standing of the world’s greatest indoor tournament and to take the event to the next level. Rolex is a tremendous signing for the Tennis Paris Masters and I would like to thank its CEO, Jean-Frédéric Dufour, for his confidence in and commitment to global tennis, as well as Arnaud Boetsch for his support.”

Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex Communication and Image Director:
In becoming the naming partner of the Tennis Paris Masters, Rolex has strengthened its links with one of the ATP tour’s flagship tournaments, and this is due in no small part to the vision of Bernard Giudicelli, President of the FFT, and of Guy Forget, director of the event. Renowned for its taste for excellence, our brand will now commit its full support to this prestigious event of the world indoor tennis circuit. As usual, Rolex has pledged its long-term support and is delighted to develop its association with the Rolex Paris Masters’ in order to further increase the appeal and reputation of the tournament.”
