“I am very pleased with the results this week,” told Taberner, who also lifted the doubles trophy alongside Pedro Martínez on Saturday.
“I didn’t expect to win two titles here. It was a pretty tough week but I showed some good level of tennis in the last two matches. I want to further improve in 2018 in order to achieve the best possible results.”
Badosa Prevails
Badosa, who knocked out second favourite and defending champion Lara Arruabarena in the semi-finals, upset top seed Carla Suárez 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in the title match to clinch her second trophy of the season. The World No. 248 hoisted the trophy at the ITF Open Castilla y León El Espinar in August.
