NEWPORT BEACH, January 3, 2018

Frances Tiafoe leads the entry list of the $150,000 ATP Challenger held from 20 to 28 January 2018 at the Newport Beach Tennis Club. The tournament ist part of the The Oracle Challenger Series, which will also feature another ATP Challenger event to be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in March as well as two WTA tournaments.

The 19-year-old will be joined by 10 fellow US-Americans. Victor Estrella Burgos from the Dominican Republic and Briton Cameron Norrie are also part of the line-up.

“Tennis players in the United States need more chances to compete at home and more chances to earn a living from the sport,” said Oracle CEO Mark Hurd. “Oracle is committed to American tennis and these events are designed to provide opportunities for players to make meaningful gains in both prize money and ranking points on their home soil. We hope to continue to grow the number of events annually in the years ahead.”
