The semi-finals of the singles competition at the € 42,500 ATP Challenger in Como had to be postponed to Sunday due to bad weather. In only about five minutes of rain and hail, the venue was flooded.

Earlier, the day the doubles final could be played with the tournament’s top-seeded tandem of Gero Kretschmer and Alexander Satschko claiming the title against the French pair of Kenny de Schepper and Maxime Teixeira. The Germans won 87% of their first service points and converted three of their six break points, winning 7-6, 6-4 in one hour and 21 minutes. Kretschmer and Satschko took away € 2,650 in prize money as well as 80 ATP ranking points.

Singles semi-finals will resume from 10:30am with second seed Andrey Kuznetsov being 5-2 up against Pedro Cachin and Daniel Brands facing third favourite Carlos Berlocq.

The final will start not before 3pm.
