The ATP Challenger Tour will return to Genova for the 10th edition of the AON Open Challenger – Memorial Giorgio Messina. The clay-court event offers a total prize money of €137,560 and will be held at the Valletta Cambiaso during the second week of the US Open on September 2 to 8, 2019.
The tournament received the ATP Challenger of the Year Award 2014 and features again an interesting field led by World No. 51 Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The Spanish veteran, a two-time champion on the ATP Tour, will be joined by seven more players ranked inside the top 100. #NextGenATP Finals contender Casper Ruud from Norway, Italians Marco Cecchinato and Stefano Travaglia, Spaniards Roberto Carballes Baena and Jaume Munar as well as Slovenia’s No. 1 Aljaz Bedene and Kamil Majchrzak from Poland are part of the line-up.
With Alejandro Davidovich Fokina from Spain, German teenager Rudolf Molleker and young gun Jannik Sinner from South Tyrol, a strong contingent of promising young players will also come to capital city of the Italian region of Liguria.
