HAMBURG, October 2, 2019
The ATP has released the entry list for this year’s inaugural Tennis Challenger Hamburg presented by Tannenhof to be held on October 21-27, 2019 in Hamburg-Horn. World No. 83 Mikael Ymer from Sweden will lead the field. The 21-year-old has captured his first three ATP Challenger career titles this season in Noumea, New Caledonia, Tampere, Finland and Orleans, France.
Ymer will be joined by his older brother Elias as well as other top 150 players such as Salvatore Caruso, who made it into the semi-final of the Croatia Open in Umag this year, and Gianluca Mager of Italy as well as Sergiy Stakhovsky from the Ukraine.
A strong contingent of local players will also play the €46,600 hard-court event at the base of the German Tennis Federation (DTB). World No. 159 Oscar Otte is the highest-ranked German, who entered the tournament. #NextGenATP competitor Rudolf Molleker, Matthias Bachinger, Tobias Kamke, Julian Lenz, Daniel Masur, Mats Moraing and Cedrik-Marcel Stebe will also be part of the line-up, fighting for the title and 80 ATP Ranking points.
