Team East leads 17-4 after the second day of the Pokal Mima Jausovec held on the clay courts of the RCU Lukovica, situated in the eastern part of the Upper Carniola region in Slovenia.

Women’s top seed Polona Hercog defeated Dalila Jakupovic in straights sets. Later in the day, Blaz Rola emerged victorious from the men’s singles encounter with Blaz Kavcic. Out of seven matches on a rain interrupted Sunday, Team East won as many as six, only Tom Kočevar Dešman contributed points for Team West. Every win brought the team two points, and each victory on the final day tomorrow will be worth three points.

“Unfortunately, Greg and I couldn’t win our doubles match. I haven’t played for a long time but I am physically fit. Team East might have a comfortable lead, but if the weather allows, we will not give up,” Aljaž Bedene said after the last match of the day.
