“The Steffi Graf Stadium looks super cool with the grass. With the prospect of finally being able to play competitive tennis in Berlin in mid-July after the long break, training is also really fun. It is a very special challenge to compete on two different surfaces within one week. The opponents are extremely strong with the two top ten players Elina Svitolina and Kiki Bertens as well as Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova and Julia Görges. Berlin will show where I stand in comparison to my competitors,” Petkovic is looking forward to the bett1ACES.
The tournament will feature a hygiene and protection concept that has been approved by authorities. Matches will will be broadcast live on TV. The total prize money for both events will be €200,000.
