Christopher O’Connell (NSW), Alex Bolt (SA), Lizette Cabrera (Qld), and Maddison Inglis (WA) are among the players returning to professional tennis as the first UTR Pro Tennis Series events commence over the coming days

The Sydney event starts at 9.30 am AEST tomorrow, Saturday 27 June, marking the first stop in the UTR Pro Tennis Series, which takes place in five Australian cities and continues until August. Melbourne and Brisbane begin on Monday, with Perth and Adelaide hosting later instalments.

In Sydney, Christopher O’Connell will lead the charge in the men’s field with fellow Sydneysider Abbie Myers (NSW) and Wollongong’s Ellen Perez headlining the women’s field. Full fields for the first events in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are listed below.

Competition for the first Brisbane and Melbourne tournaments start on Monday 29 June, with Storm Sanders (WA) and Marc Polmans (Vic) leading their respective fields in Melbourne, and Jason Kubler (Qld) and Lizette Cabrera (Qld) headlining the first Brisbane competitions.

The UTR Pro Tennis Series provides players with the opportunity to compete for $450,000 in prize money following the months-long suspension of the international tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and is a key opportunity for players to return to tournament play. Strict biosecurity measures will be in place at each event.
