The semi-finals of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series kicked off on Thursday following a short rain delay in the early hours at the Sport & Tennis Resort “Teremeer” in Meerbusch.
Oscar Otte headlined the action at the opening day of the clay-court event, which will be held in a round-robin format with eight players divided into two groups of four, celebrating a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory over top-ranked Cedrik-Marcel Stebe in Group A.

“This was my first win against Ceddi and of course I am very pleased with my performance. I took advantage of the corona break and worked more on my body. I am confident that this will also pay off in the future,” said Otte.
Yannick Maden also had to go the distance in his match against Daniel Masur, winning 6-0, 6-7, 7-5.
Over in Group B, Maximilian Marterer defeated Marvin Möller 6-3, 7-6. The match between Yannick Hanfmann and youngster Mats Rosenkranz was suspended ahead of the start of the third set at 4-6, 6-2 due to darkness and will resume on Friday not before 11:30 am local time.
