STARNBERG, July 11, 2020
Oscar Otte, Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, Yannick Hanfmann and Maximilian Marterer have booked their spot in the final tournament of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series.
In Saturday’s semi-final matches held at the Sport & Tennis Resort “Teremeer” in Meerbusch, Otte celebrated a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 victory over Daniel Masur to secure the first place in Group A. Stebe defeated Yannick Maden 6-3, 6-2 to earn the second place.
“Today I was completely satisfied with my performance, but also with the whole time here in Meerbusch,” said Stebe.
Yannick Hanfmann came out on top of Group B following a 6-4, 7-6 win over Maximilian Marterer 6-4, 7-6. Despite this result, both players advance to the series’ climax in Großhesselohe to be held from July 21 to 24.
“We both had our ups and downs in the match today. But I’m very happy that I could win it. It’s going to be tough tomorrow against Oscar. He has a good serve and an unpredictable game,” said Hanfmann, who will take on Otte in Sunday’s title match in Meerbusch.
