Volksbank Überlingen Cup Ready To Start

Volksbank Überlingen Cup

ÜBERLINGEN, August 11, 2020

Professional tennis will return to the Lake Constance district in Germany with the inaugural Volksbank Überlingen Cup, a national tournament with a total prize money of €7,500. The tournament will be held from August 12 to 16 at the venue of the Tennis Club 1902 Überlingen, which usually hosts the Überlingen Open. This year’s edition of the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 event, however, was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Local favourites Peter Torebko, Louis Wessels and Peter Heller as well as some of Germany’s up-and-coming players will be part of the line-up of the Volksbank Überlingen Cup. The German Tennis Federation (DTB) will also send a couple of its best young players such as Max Rehberg, Mika Lipp and Philip Florig to the northern shore of Lake Constance.

“Following the success over the past few years, we are happy to host more top tennis next week,” says Michael Stehle, president of the TC Überlingen.
