M15 Poitiers FRA – Lucas Poullain wins another title on home soil
Following his title win in Grenoble a couple of weeks ago, Lucas Poullain triumphed at the Open Masculin 86, held at the Stade Poitevin Tennis.
The former college player for the Florida State University emerged victorious from the all-French semi-final encounter with No. 5 seeded Kyrian Jacquet.
George Loffhagen from Great Britain benefited in the semifinal-clash of the qualifiers from the retirement of Frenchman Jaimee Floyd Angele in the first set.
No. 4 seeded Poullain outpointed his 19-year-old rival in the championship match 83-69 to secure a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 win after about two hours. The 25-year-old celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.
M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Lucas Miedler crowned champion
Lucas Miedler triumphed at the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, hosted by Soho Square.
The Austrian top seed battled past David Poljak from the Czech Rebublic in the stage of the final four in three sets.
Japanese Makoto Ochi ended the winning streak of No. 8 seeded Yu Hsiou Hsu from Chinese Taipei, who captured back-to-back titles in Sharm El Sheikh over the last two weeks, with a three-set victory in the semi-finals.
Tulln-born Miedler won 78 per cent of his first-service points and struck six aces in the title match to prevail 6-3, 7-6 in one hour and 17 minutes. The 24-year-old, who is based at the ATC-Academy from Wolfgang Thiem in Traiskirchen near Vienna, lifted his 10th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 La Nucia ESP – Pedro Cachin captures another title on clay
The 2nd Internacional David Ferrer 2021, held at the Club Tenis la Nucia, concluded with the title win of clay-court specialist Pedro Cachin.
The No. 8 seed from Argentina stopped the run of 16-year-old qualifier Arthur Fils from France in the semi-finals, winning in straight sets.
Georgii Kravchenko from the Ukraine advanced to the final with a three-set win against Spanish wild card entry Alex Marti Pujolras.
Twenty-five-year-old Cachin won 77 per cent of his first-service points in the title match to secure a 7-6, 6-0 victory in about two hours. The Cordoba native, who was ranked ITF World No. 8 as a junior, clinched his eighth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his ATP Challenger title in Seville 2015. He has won all of his titles on on clay.

M15 Monastir TUN – Gauthier Onclin triumphs in all-Belgian affair
Gauthier Onclin emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.
The 20-year-old Belgian stopped the run of Russian qualifier Savva Polukhin in the semi-finals in three sets.
Junior entry Raphael Collignon set the all-Belgian final by defeating Brazilian qualifier Igor Marcondes in three sets.
Unseeded Onclin outpointed his 19-year-old rival 68-41 in the championship match to claim a 6-1, 6-1 victory in 77 minutes. The former World No. 8 in ITF Junior’s ranking lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second of the season.
M15 Antalya TUR – Milan Zekic breaks the curse in finals
After losing two consecutive finals in Antalya, Serbian veteran Milan Zekic clinched the title of the MTA Open Series, hosted by the Club Megasaray in Belek.
The Belgrad native benefited in the stage of the last four from the retirement of former junior’s World No. 1 Mate Valkusz from Hungary at the score of 4-6, 7-5, 4-1.
Last weeks’ Antalya-champion Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida booked another spot in the final with a straight-set win against German No. 3 seed Peter Heller.
No. 4 seeded Zekic capitalized on six of his 16 break-point opportunities and lost four service games in the title match to avenge his defeat in last week’s final, winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 after two hours and 44 minutes. The 32-year-old celebrated his 19th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his triumph on the ATP Challenger Tour Todi 2016.
